Security is not just a service at Val de Vie Estate; it is the foundation of a safe and peaceful lifestyle. The Estate’s commitment to security was reaffirmed at the Security Townhall Meeting on Thursday 6 March 2025, where residents gathered to learn more about the evolving security measures in place at the Estate.
The evening was led by Riaan Crafford, Chairperson of the Security Committee, who outlined the strategic security focus for 2025, reinforcing a proactive approach to estate protection. Marius Herselman, Head of Risk and Security, presented a comprehensive security overview, highlighting key statistics and the importance of “Protecting People, Preserving Assets.”
A significant highlight of the evening was the introduction of Bidvest Protea Coin as the new security provider. Costa Diavastos, CEO of Bidvest Protea Coin, shared the company’s vision, expertise and cutting-edge innovations, offering a glimpse into how enhanced rapid-response strategies and cutting-edge technology will redefine safety within our Estate. Following this, Waal de Waal, COO of Bidvest Protea Coin, took centre stage with an impressive live demonstration.
Residents watched as the airwing team conducted helicopter and drone flyovers, showcasing real-time surveillance capabilities. The K9 unit impressed with narcotics detection and suspect apprehension, while the perimeter security demonstration highlighted the seamless integration of drones, K9 teams, and advanced surveillance technology. These highly coordinated exercises, fully approved by the Civil Aviation Authority and both HOAs, provided a firsthand look at the advanced security measures protecting the Estate.
The Townhall Meeting reinforced a shared commitment to safety, ensuring that Val de Vie Estate remains at the forefront of secure, luxury living.
