Morne Bosch

Morne Bosch is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the HOA. He is also the Managing Director of Elements Management, which is contracted to manage the HOA. In his role as Chairman, Morne is hands-on with management and ensures that the Board of Trustees fulfils its responsibilities with the help of the managing agent. His field of expertise lies in business development and operations management, backed by a CA(SA) and an MBA (USA). Morne appreciates the quality of the Val de Vie lifestyle. Anton Gildenhuys

Mr. Anton Gildenhuys B.Com (Insurance Science), B.Com Hons (Actuarial Sciences), EDP serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Client Solutions for Sanlam Personal Finance. He serves as Non-Executive Director at Sanlam Developing Markets Ltd. Mr. Gildenhuys' primary focus is product and business development at Sanlam Personal Finance. Mr. Gildenhuys has been the Acting Chief Executive of Actuarial of Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd since May 2010. He served as the Chief Executive of Strategic Business Development at Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd from August 2006 to May 2010. He joined Sanlam Personal Finance in 1996 and worked in areas such as actuarial valuations and finance. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and the Actuarial Society of SA. Mr. Gildenhuys is a qualified Actuary and holds a B.Com in Insurance Science and Actuarial Sciences. He has been living on the estate since 2009 with his wife and two children. |
Leon Cronje
Corporate Governance

Leon Cronje's role as a trustee includes overseeing Governance and Compliance at the estate. He is the Financial Director of Pioneer Foods and specialises in corporate finance, with degrees that include a B.Acc (US), B Compt Hons (Unisa) and CA (SA). Leon and his family live at Val de Vie and they value the peacefulness, open spaces and security. |
Ryk Neethling
Marketing, Communication, Sport

Ryk's experience in the sports industry and with the media contributes great value to the board. Ryk spent four years in the real estate industry having assisted in the development and management of various commercial properties in Arizona, USA. Apart from his successful swimming career and the founding of his swimming schools across South Africa, he also serves on the executive board of several other commercial companies. Ryk was appointed by the managing agent as Marketing Director of Val de Vie Estate in 2009 and since then has been a major asset to the Estate promoting the wines, restaurant and property as well as being actively involved in the Val de Vie Magazine. He currently resides and owns property on the estate.

Sarel Rossouw
Finances

Sarel Rossouw is the Financial Trustee of the estate. As the Group Financial Director of Val de Vie entities, he has a background in auditing and worked for PWC until December 2007, whereafter he joined Val de Vie. Sarel originally obtained a BSc at the University of Stellenbosch, but he changed to a career in finance and became qualified CA with expertise in property development finance. Sarel and his family live on the estate. As he says, "we love the outdoors. We are very active and spend a lot of time walking and running around on the estate. We really enjoy all the open space."

Renier Swart
Security, Infrastructure

As a trustee, Renier Swart is the Chairman of Security and Infrastructure sub-committees. He is the Managing Director and a shareholder of the Star Motor Group. Renier is also is a Director and shareholder of Boland Rugby, as well as a property developer, game breeder and farmer. His qualifications include BCom Accounting Honours and CTA (University of Pretoria), BProc (UNISA) and CA (SA). Renier's main fields of expertise include marketing, farming, sport, security, property and investment. He was also named Pretoria Businessman of the Year in 2001. Renier resides at Val de Vie and values the rural lifestyle and the people of the estate. |
Martin Venter
Building

Martin Venter is the Executive Chairman and founder of the Elements group of companies. His qualifications include VLC (Law), LLB (UP), Hons., MBA (US) and R.E.E.S, Private Equity and Venture Capital (Harvard Business School). He is also an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Martin initially built his career as a commercial attorney in litigation, and garnered extensive experience in property development and investment, as well as property asset management. As a resident on the estate, he values the convenient family lifestyle. To put it in his words, "it's where I live, work and play!" |
Riaan Terblanche
Communications

Riaan studied at Stellenbosch and the Eberhard Karl University in Germany. He holds 3 post graduate degrees, including his Honours in Journalism, a Masters in Social Sciences and an MBA. He started his career in Paarl as the assistant to the Managing Director of Boland Bank before leaving for Gauteng to join a Consulting firm. Together with partners they established the international resourcing company, HPFS. Riaan was Managing Director of HPFS when they sold the business to the listed technology company, EOH, where he is on the executive team. Before moving back to Paarl, Riaan was the Chairman of the Woodlands Life Style Estate in Pretoria. Riaan currently owns two properties on the estate, in one of which he currently lives with his wife Karin, born and raised in Paarl, and their two boys, Le Roux (4) and Jacques (2). |
