Val de Vie Wine and Polo Estate is proud to announce the Carrol Boyes Ladies Cup –the first Ladies Polo Tournament to be held in Cape Town! Organised by Val de Vie, the event will be played on the 12–14th of February. Ladies represent the largest growing numbers of new players around the world and a few are making it to the high goal range. We are very excited about this event and have received overwhelming support from players and sponsors alike. The principal sponsor of the event is Carrol Boyes, the acclaimed South African designer who is internationally renowned for her handmade pieces of functional art. Using pewter, aluminium and stainless steel in her designs, Carrol Boyes creates a range of items that are distinctive and uniquely South African. Once the design process has been perfected by Carrol herself, each piece is produced by hand in Limpopo Province. The designs are available throughout South Africa and in more than 28 countries over the world. Team sponsors include Britesmile, Bongani Bush Lodge, Kilakitu and Patron Properties, while other sponsors are Nuvision, Silveroaks Stud, Allison’s Saddlery, Beautiful Homes, Totally Animal and Spurwing feeds. The majority of the ladies are from the Cape Town environs, except for five players who will travel from Natal and Plettenburg Bay. One man will play in each team and these will be local players.
